The President of the Ghana Bar Association, Anthony Forson, has advised lawyers against wearing dresses that will show so much skin before appearing before the court.
According to Mr. Anthony Forson, The profession has a fairly universal attitude regarding what is considered appropriate and what is not. He stated that for court work, business casual is never appropriate even during legal vacation that lawyers do not robe.
Mr. Forson explains that court attire for male lawyers should always consist of a dark-colored suit, a tie, and a properly buttoned shirt while the females should always wear a dark suit with trousers or knee-length matching shirts.
The Bar National President said this while addressing the commemorative webinar conference under the theme “Enhancing National Cohesion” the essence of free, fair, and responsible elections held on Monday in Accra.
